Petit Gaudí is moving into a space where size doesn’t matter.
We are moving our craftsmanship to our own space online. Somewhere size neither limits us nor comes at a penalty.
Following Gaudí’s philosophy, we are returning to our roots to gain freedom. We are leaving our physical shop behind to overcome the bureaucracy and lack of support that make life so difficult for small independent businesses today.
This is not an ending; it is an evolution. We are moving our craftsmanship to petitgaudi.com, where the shop and custom projects can grow without the costs of a physical premises. We will continue to work from Barcelona with the same crafts, materials and standards of quality.
At Petit Gaudí, we have always believed in Antoni Gaudí’s idea that originality means returning to the origin. After five years on this journey —three spent welcoming people to our shop in Barcelona’s Eixample district— we have realised that preserving our identity as makers means being willing to evolve.
We have not made this decision because we love our work any less, but because we want to protect it. Small businesses built on honesty and tradition face an invisible wall of political indifference. Despite the grand promises, artisans and independent shops continue to work quietly without the meaningful support they need to keep their doors open. So, if our ambitions cannot grow freely in a physical space, they will grow somewhere without those limits.
This new chapter is the beginning of something freer and closer to our customers. From Barcelona, we will continue to offer the same quality and the same respect for work made by hand, in a space that allows us to reach further than ever.
