Craft, Gaudí and Barcelona
Rótulos Antiguos joins the Club with its Gaudí 2026 collection

Old signs do more than tell you where a shop is. They tell you how a city used to make things. Rótulos Antiguos has spent decades giving metal signs the sort of depth a flat print simply cannot imitate.
A craft written into the streets
Established in 1982, Rótulos Antiguos makes traditional relief signs using hand-shaped aluminium and oven-cured finishes. The technique has a purpose: form, character and a piece designed to last.

Barcelona’s historic shops and street signs are part of the city’s visual memory. Petit Gaudí’s collaboration takes that familiar craft and turns it into a collection of small, tangible objects.
Two towers, three shapes, six designs
The Gaudí Centenary 2026 collection is inspired by two Sagrada Família landmarks: the Tower of Jesus and the Tower of the Virgin Mary. Each appears in three historic sign formats: rectangular, oval and shield-shaped.
The rectangle recalls classic shop signage. The oval gives the border and relief more prominence. The shield has a more heraldic, almost institutional feel. Same family, distinct characters.

Aluminium, shaped by hand
Hand-shaped metal, raised borders and oven-finished surfaces make a difference you can see. Small variations are not defects to hide; they are evidence of the work that went into a piece.
Why the Petit Gaudí artisan club?
Petit Gaudí selects work using three consistent principles: handmade craftsmanship, a recognisable icon and visible imperfection. Rótulos Antiguos meets all three. Each listing corresponds to a real object, with availability shown on its product page.
What is included in the collection?
Six aluminium signs: the Tower of Jesus and the Tower of the Virgin Mary, each in rectangular, oval and shield-shaped versions.
